Bracken Cabin
Bracken Cabin.
9 am – 5 pm · Up to 2 guests · From $145
Bracken sits on a ridge overlooking a forest clearing — natural light, natural rhythm, old-growth forest visible from every window. Floor-to-ceiling glass on the clearing side brings the outside in. Wildlife feeders a few metres from the windows mean deer are a regular morning presence. Compact enough to feel contained, open enough to let sessions breathe.
Best for 1:1 work where the environment does something before you start talking — somatic practice, trauma-informed work, deep focus — or for practitioners who want a quiet location away from a busy clinical setting.

Who Books Bracken Cabin
Somatic Practitioners
Wildlife at the glass, floor-to-ceiling forest, no background hum. The nervous system begins shifting the moment clients step out of the car. Body-based work in a space where the environment does some of it with you.
EMDR & Trauma Work
The ridge position, the floor-to-ceiling glass, the deer feeders outside — clinical practitioners working with trauma find this setting unusually well-suited. Natural light without harsh directionality. A contained space that opens onto something alive.
Podcast & Interview Days
Floor-to-ceiling windows, forest backdrop, no traffic. A quiet room with a view that holds on camera — for recorded conversations that need an environment as considered as the content.
Writers & Thinkers
Deep focus days with no interruptions. Deer at the feeders. The kind of window you write toward, not away from.

Common Questions
What's the view from Bracken Cabin?
Bracken sits on a ridge overlooking a forest clearing. Wildlife feeders are within a few metres of the floor-to-ceiling windows — deer are a regular morning presence. In spring and fall you can sit inside and watch the tree line for long stretches. The clearing gives the cabin more natural light than Adler and a wider sense of the forest.
Is the space suitable for recorded sessions or podcasting?
Yes. The cabin is acoustically contained with minimal road noise. The glass faces forest, not road. Bring your own recording gear — there's no built-in audio setup, but the ambient sound and visual environment hold well on camera.
Can I bring 2 clients for a group session?
Bracken Cabin is capped at 2 people for day use (practitioner + 1 client, or 2 clients). The space and the energy of it are calibrated for intimate work — it's not set up for groups.
What's the difference between Bracken and Adler Cabin?
Adler is deeper into the forest, more secluded, with a fire pit and hammock. Bracken is on a ridge overlooking a clearing with floor-to-ceiling windows and wildlife feeders — more light, more visual connection to the forest, and deer at the glass in the morning. Both sleep 2 for overnight; both cap at 2 for day use.
What are the rates and what's included?
Bracken Cabin is $145 for a 3-hour session, $195 for a half day (up to 5 hours), or $275 for a full day (up to 8 hours) — all prices CAD plus HST. The rate includes the cabin, trail access, and parking. No per-person charge.
When is the space available and what is the cancellation policy?
Bracken Cabin is available daily from 9am to 5pm. Sessions can be morning, afternoon, or full day within those hours. Cancellations more than 48 hours before your session receive a full refund. Within 48 hours, the session fee is non-refundable but can be credited toward a rescheduled date.
Is there a washroom in or near the cabin?
There is no washroom inside Bracken Cabin itself. A private washroom is a short walk up the lane to the main property building — not shared with other guests but not steps from the cabin door. For sessions where proximity matters, the Farmhouse has an in-suite washroom.

Stay the Night?
Bracken Cabin is also available for overnight stays. Watch the deer feeders at dusk, wake up in the forest. Add a session the next morning and the whole thing lands differently.
